Suggest a hair straightener?

Any suggestions? Lots of people say GHDs are over rated and over priced, and merely fashionable to own. Any better alternatives?Suggest a hair straightener?

There is this new product called Maxiglide by Maxis. One website I found where I think the price is reasonable is www.Folica.com. It costs about 90 dollars. I have seen it for $200 dollars or more.
Sedu is the #1 straightener, it is the highest rated and always gets the best reviews. It's better than GHD or Chi or all those other popular straighteners out there. You can buy it online or, if you're lucky, at a salon that might happen to be near you.

maxi glide pro. its $$$ but i heard it is excellent
It all depends on what your hair is like. If you have very course curly hair you will need something that gets hot (400F) but if you just need it to smooth hair you don't need quite as hot. You also have to look at if you would also like to curl your hair with it. I just bought a GHD and you can do many things with it,such as curling or just waving hair. It also depends if you are using a thermal spray while you are using it. (I recommend Sebastian Laminates Hair spray or Matrix Iron In Control or Volume) My suggestion is to talk to your hairstylist about which one would work best and what products will help get you the look you are going for.
CHI!! THEY WORK WORTH THA MONEY
i personaly don't think chi is a good brand because it is sooo expensive and it doesn't have any heat setting so it will literaly fry ur hair faster than any regular straightener. i use a Remmington Wet 2 Straight, and it works great and it's sooo conveinent cuz if ur in a rush u don't have to blow dry or anything. It has like 30 heat settings and u put it on a certain setting that defines ur hair type such as thick, thin or w/e, and it's pretty cheap it's only like 30 bucks i think i got mine at bed bath and beyond! well good luck finding a straightener!
