How do i make my hair straightener not pull on my hair?

i have a VS straightener its good but it tugs my hair :(





i dont think its my hair cos in the salon they used a different one, im not sure what it was, any it glided over my hair so nicely.





is there a way i can make mine do that?

the reason why your straighteners are tugging on your hair is most likely to be to do with the coating of the plates. there are different plate base materials and coating materials/methods used in the manufacturing of straighteners, so all I can say realistically is your gonna have to buy new straighteners, and try to check around for reviews and such first to make sure you get a good quality product for your money. At the moment I use vidal sassoon ribbon curlers to straighten my hair [and curl it =D] which is great because they are ceramic all the way round meaning you can achieve a variety of effects with ease! I think the current rrp. is 29.99 which is really good! [the reason for this low price being they fit into the bracket of 'curlers' and not 'straighteners', which, due to the competition on the market, allows them to be sold at such an affordable price]

Buy a hair straightener with ceramic plates and remember to clean the plates after every time you use it, using a damp towel. This ensures that your straightener stays residue free which makes it less prone to tugging on your hair... also if you clean the plates your straightener will last you a lot longer.

don't use so much preasure %26amp; make sure your hair is clean %26amp; has no dirt in it stay in after you shampoo your hair if that doesn't work then either get a new one or use straightening gel
Find one with ceramic plates, they glide over the hair smoother
put a little bit of silk or baby iool on your hair and do it by parts like dont do big pieces of hair do smaller ones :)
