What is the best hair straightener?

I don't care how much it is, i just want to know the name of it. I have a crappy $20 straightener and it makes my hair look like straw. So does anybody know the all time best straightener that you can buy in the U.S?


I was thinking of maybe a Chi, and please no websites like folicia.com and stuff, i don't want it to be shipped.

GHD is the best you can get. my girlfriend has one and never stops raving about it. it cost $300 australian but you can get it off ebay for $250.
