Did you see watchdog last night, apparently the early models had a safety problem which has caused house fires. GHD hasn't done the decent thing and recalled any of them.

You can't unless you are or know of a good hairdresser that can pick them up for you from a salon professional suppliers.
IF I WHERE YOU INSTEAD OF WASTING A TRIP UP THERE I WOULD JUST GO TO SALLY'S BEAUTY SUPPLIES AND GET A FLAT IRON ............ THERE THE BEST ONES I USE FROM THERE...... THEY PUT OFF MORE HEAT FAR MORE THEN THOSE ONES YOU BUY AT WAL-MART AND THERE LESS DAMAGING......... AND I DO THINK THEY MIGHT SELL THE GHD BRAND THERE TOO
STOP RIGHT THERE! If you watched WatchDog on BBC1 this week you will have seen that they are uber-dangerous....they keep bursting into flames even when they are switched off but just plugged in. They have been on Watchdog countless times and the company blames 'user error' whilst BBC have PROVEN that they are badly made. They have just introduced some feature into them to try and stop them shorting out but given the vast number of house fires, occasions where they have blown up in peoples hands and even little things like 2nd degree burns they have caused, I WOULD STEER WELL CLEAR - WHY TAKE THE RISK? Hi hun, if you don't want to wait for delivery from online suppliers just go to a good hair salon in town, they will sell them. I live in a city ( Liverpool) and all the salons sell them here off the shelf so I would imagine they will in London. Just sit down and ring round - yellow pages should help with this!

just a word of warning!apart from that i'd recommend them, i swear by them!
