What brand for hair straightener?

Is it necessary to buy an expensive hair straightener? My hairdresser recommended GHD but this cost $250 - yes it's cermanic. How do cheaper brands, and also non-cermanic compare?What brand for hair straightener?
$250!! thats crazy. Get a Chi for around $125 or $95 on Ebay or a Fhi for even cheaper. Those are 2 of the best I ever used. My sister has a Chi for the past 3 years and uses it daily..its awesome!

i think it all depends on the texture and type of hair you have.



if you don't have really thick and wavy/curly hair you don't need an expensive one, but if you do the expensive ones are better.

i have a CHI and i have really wavy and thick hair and it works wonderful.
jilbere de paris is an inexpensive brand (between $50-$80 depending on which model you choose) and it works great. I have used the same one for 2 years and it has been through ALOT! I have dropped it on the floor numerous times, left it turned on for days at a time and it still works great. I will definitely buy another. You can get them at Sally's Beauty Supply.



Another great brand is the GPV from Sally's Beauty. Its a generic of a CHI and I have never used it but I have friends who have and they love it. They are also inexpensive, about $50.
in my opinion remington wet to straight works very well, and it's only 25-35 bucks. you can get it at walmart.
GHD is SUPER good quality. heats up within secondssss!!! i promise and guarantee you taht you will not REGRET buying that straightener!!!!!!!!!!!!

expensive ones are the better quality ones.
Try a Chi. They are half the cost and very good quality. At the salon I work in all the stylists use them. Day in and day out. If they hold up being constantly used, then at home this is all you need. Do stay with ceramic, they are the best. Hope this helps you.

GHD is worth the money. Definately don't get a Remington
A cheap hair straightner will do a cheap job.



Go with a CHI. They are expensive but they work great. You can find them on EBAY for much cheaper.
