USA VOLTAGE, Travelling with Hair Straightener?

I have to travel to the states, and would like to take a hair straightener, but over there I think voltage is 110. Over here it is about 240. If my straightener says 110-240 volts at 50/60hz, will it work over there? (My last straightener was ruined overseas I think due to voltage probs) :) Thanks!!USA VOLTAGE, Travelling with Hair Straightener?
it will work but you'll need an adapter. Head to an electronics store and tlell them you need an adapter for US plugs and they'll get you exactly what you need.

Good luck!USA VOLTAGE, Travelling with Hair Straightener?
I am in the Middle East but from Canada. Last time I went back to Canada, I brought my hair straightener and bought a voltage converter in Heathrow airport. You should be able to buy a converter from Boots or once you land in the States, from WalMart. They are about $20 US but it's worth it since you're straightener won't blow up. Make sure the converter you buy is indeed a voltage converter (will switch from 240 to 110) and not just a universal adapter (allows any plug to fit in any outlet). The voltage converter should have an adapter on it, though, or it won't fit in the outlet!
the voltage should be fine since usa's is 120 and your straightener is 110-240.

but be sure to buy a converter anyways cuz our outlets are different. that could have been the issue before. your outlets have cirle holes ours have more like rectangular holes to plug things into.
if it says that much, then it should work, and btw, the average voltage here is 120
voltage here is 120
