My friend Jess has crazy thick hair and she swears by the Chi. I used it once, best way you could spend $100. If you dont wanna spend that much on a flattening iron, buy a wet to dry straigtener. I have Lots of realy thick hair that gets more wavy curly and frizzes, My straightener works great because it straightens your hair before it has a chance to curl or frizz (mine waves and frizzes when it dries). I have the Remington wet to dry iron, I paid like $30 for it and I love it. It takes 20 minutes off of the time of drying and straightening my hair. =)
remmington wet to straight

you cab straighten it while wet so its thinner

its only 30 dollars for the biggest one

and you can get it at walmart or cvs

its far better than the 100 dollar one i bought at Master Cuts(salon)
Any 2'; Conair. I have the same type of hair and this company works great for me! Never been disappointed with it. Make sure it is two inch. any other won't have much effect. It won't be strong enough for your thick curls.
