Does GHD hair straightener ruin your hair ?

I have a GHD hair straightener , ive been using it since the middle of the year and ive been using it everyday .


Does GHD ruin your hair ?


And are there any good heat protectants that keeps my hair from damaging ?

Whether you are applying hair straighteners, hot curling irons, or a blow dryer, or any other gadget that gives off heat to the hair, a heat protectant should be used, because heat absorbs the hair sebum (natural oil) that your hair has, leaving your hair looking dull and dry!





Any hair straightener will ruin your hair.... the more you use it, the more you are ruining your hair.


I suggest you blowdry your hair instead of using hair straighteners, because it does less damage to the hair, and it also lasts up to a week if you have a good blowdry, if need be, just go over your hair with the GHD straighteners half way through the week! ... if your hair gets dirty quickly, then wash your hair whenever necessary, and blowdry it! Try avoid hair straighteners as much as possible!





I suggest you use Hair serum on your hair, to give your hair the moisture it is loosing due to heat.

Heat Protectant - Joico, is a Cream %26amp; should be applied on damp hair. Hair serum should be applied on dry hair, even if no heat was applied to hair.. Hair serum is used to regain the moisture lost, leaving your hair shiny %26amp; healthy! :)

Any heat damages hair A heat protectant will slow the damage but in time your hair will dry out %26amp; break off. If you have wavy hair try braiding it when its damp when dry take it out that will relax the wave without any damage. I have very curly hair %26amp; that's how I do it %26amp; I'm old my picture shows my hair If you want to have healthy hair stop using any heat or chemicals everything you do to hair damages it including brushing or combing. I carefully finger comb mine every other day Hope this helps (*.:.*)
Any straightener will ruin your hair over a long time if you don't use heat protectors. I straightened my hair every day last year and i havent at all this year becuase my hair was so ruined. This is mainly coz i didnt use a heat protector.
