i have a heat protective pouch that i store y hair straightener in. now the question..why am i not supposed to wrap the cord around it and where does it go wen i dont? is it because the iron shouldnt b stored in a closed position? or does it loosten the cord from the iron?If im not supposed to wrap the cord around my hair straightener where does it go?
my girlfriend has this rack, that you just hangs her hairdryer and curling iron, and flat iron on then the cord just hangs down straight. If im not supposed to wrap the cord around my hair straightener where does it go?
If you wrap the cord too tightly, it can cause the part of the cord that goes into the appliance to pull loose or break away, possibly causing an electrical shock or the straightener to not work anymore. I wrap my cord around my straightener, after it cools of course, by not pulling the cord tight and not bending the part that goes into the iron, I make sure its straighten and then wrap the rest of the cord, loosely, around the iron for storage.
It loosens the cord from the iron. I just leave mine plugged in the socket and turned off and have it on my table.
