Hair Straightener that doesnt make hair smell BURNT?

Well, i bought a Infiniti by conair hair straightener and it makes my hair smell bad! I really want to return it and buy a new one. What is a good hair straightener that you have USED and know it doesn't make hair smell. Thanks a whole bunch!!!!

i hope i can return my old one....Hair Straightener that doesnt make hair smell BURNT?
First of all, wow, I was thinking of buying an Infinite straightener because they say that ionic thing is really good, I can't believe it made your hair smell burnt, but thanks for warning me.

I use the Conair Wet-dry straightener (its the bright red one). I don't actually use the wet function but the dry one works great. It works so well, I don't even have to blow dry my hair first (just make sure its completely air dryed). When you put it on high setting, the straightener exudes a slight smell, but not really a burnt one, and it certainly does not make your hair smell burnt. Try it, i'm sure you'll like it better than the infinite one.Hair Straightener that doesnt make hair smell BURNT?
Make sure your hair is really dry first and you also might consider lowering the temperature. Hope this helps, I fried my hair before and my hair stylist told me I was using too high temp.
ummm... i don't think you can do anything about that now... that burnt smell will linger for a little while...
I have Jilbere that I bought at Sally Beauty Supply for about $25 and it seem to do the job w/o any problems. Make sure to get a ceramic one, they are more gentle on hair.
Buy a Chi and nothing else. I spent $100 on it but it is worth it. The others that sell for cheap do not get hot enough. Also, make sure you buy a Salon quality spray when you straighten your hair. You can cause serious damage without a good spray. I made the mistake of purchasing a cheap o hair straighten and I ended up throwing it away.
Your hair is going to smell burnt no matter what straightening iron you use! when you iron your hair, it burns, no matter what. I use Vo5 Miracle Mist that protects your hair from irons. Then I use my Conair straightener, its silver but i don't know what one it is. If you do this, your hair will look great and smell good, believe me i have gotten sooooo many compliments on my hair since i bought that stuff! Try It!
try spraying somthing on it
GHD there the best straightners, they also do a range of products that you apply to hair before straightening to protect the hair.
i like the chi bcuz it doesnt ruin or make ur hair smell.
I don't think it's the straightener....I have a con air and my hair does fine! maybe it's something in the shampoo you use!
yeah, one of the reasons it probably makes your hair smell burnt is that you probably don't blow dry your hair or let it air dry. the reason it smells burnt is being it's frying and damaging your hair! NOT GOOD! my friend did that once and just had to deal with it. you might try using a wet to dry straightener if you don't have time to dry it yourself.
