I like my Remmington Wet 2 Straight (which is what I think someone earlier mentioned) because it was only around $20 or $30 and it's lasted me for 3 years so far. (and I drop it a lot :) I also like that the temperature is adjustable. Another good one is the Solia because it doesn't damage your hair much, but it's around $80 or $90 and that's pretty expensive. Plus you can only buy it online. It also has an adjustable temperature. If you really want straight hair, you may consider having it chemically straightened at a salon because although it's expensive, it lasts a long time.
