I have a Sedu. I bought it after seeing all the wonderful reviews on it. I can't say anything bad or good about the Solia since I've never owned one. But for the Sedu I can say... it makes your hair pretty darn straight, is less damaging than the Chi, and heats up fast. But it does have a few downs. It tends to pull out some hair, heats up really hot so you can burn yourself (be careful), and is pricey! So it's up to you.
