Can i use my hair straightener in canada?

i am going to canada on a school trip from japan.

i was wondering if i can take my straightener there to use.

the voltage in japan is 100V. the plug shape is this:

check what plug shapes they use in canada and if they are different buy one of them plug converter things where you put your straightners in one end and the other end in the socket
