It kind of depends on your age and your dad. If you are 13 or 14 or even older, and you think this is going to be a real issue, discuss it beforehand, and if he has a real problem with it, decide if it is worth it to make this an issue between both of you. If it is going to be an issue, it will usually be less of one if you are open about it before hand. There are plenty of great looking styles for curly/wavy hair that are much easier to groom than one requiring a hair straightener. If your dad has the same type of hair, he can probably be of assistance in selecting a great looking style.

Well a lot of guys use hair Straighteners. Tell him you want a change and rather not get it permanently straight and just be able to straighten it yourself.


Hair dressers cost a lot of money when you have to do something A lot.


Straighteners Don't.

Tell him straightening hair is great for both men and women. My boyfriend straightens his hair. Heck, I straighten it for him and he straightens mine. There is absolutely nothing wrong with guys straightening their hair.
